Region 3 Annual Planning Conference 2009 The 2009 Region 3 Annual Planning Conference was hosted by the Volusia County Chapter October 23 and 24, 2009 at the Daytona Beach Resort. On Saturday morning our keynote speaker Tamara Vaughn, J.E., LLM author of the book "Powershift Principles-Empowering Yourself Through Life's Challenges" inspired and energized us. Additional highlights included NAWIC Secretary Shirley Horne, CIT from Myrtle Beach, SC who spoke to us on Membership and Dr. Cassandra Renzi who spoke to us on Sex Offenders and Their Role in Construction. . |

October 13 Membership Meeting October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month. In light of that, NAWIC members brought donations for Safehouse, a battered women's shelter. The Safehouse Executive Director was there to recieve our donations and to read a letter from a former resident. Safehouse is still accepting donations! Construction Industry Project: Sanford House The Greater Orlando Construction Industry Committee has been busy. Thanks to the generosity of our members companies who have donated materials, and our volunteers the project is coming along. The goal is to have the family in the home by Christmas. Next Construction Industry day will be posted here soon. Come back often. |
